Rossignol Scimitar Skis 2012 - The Scimitar is a sick jib stick that has plenty of all mountain capabilities. If your day includes backcountry booters, a few pow laps, or a run or two down a freshly cut pipe the 98mm waisted Scimitar is for you. The Spin Turn Rocker is 100% full banana shaped, so the ski has a ridiculously low swing weight, with lots of pop in the tip and tail. This construction style ensures that the Scimitar is able to surf and float in some pow too. An extended sidecut continues beyond the contact points so the Scimitar can hook up on your winding in runs for your table top sessions. The Jib Tip is equipped with a rubber layer for shock absorption and durability, while keeping a low profile for step ups on to rails and switch skiing. The Rossignol Mini Cap construction has a wood core and 30 degree sloping sidewalls to strengthen the topsheet of the ski without adding weight. The Scimitar has a Jib Absorption System which is a thick rubber layer between the sidewall, edge, and in the tip and tail for absorbing big landings and increased durability. Atomic D2 VF 82 Skis with Neox TL 12 Bindings 2012 - The D2 VF 82 is all about carving everything. Starting with Double Deck, or D2, construction the VF 82 has the ability to adapt to any turn style you choose or snow pack you encounter. With a D2 profile that is extended further into the tip and tail than its little siblings the VF 82 is absolutely a ski geared towards more aggressive and more advanced skiers. The 82mm waist of the VF 82 also makes it the most versatile of Vario Flex skis as the width makes it more stable as snow pack changes but still lends to being primarily a hardpacked ski. Using Densolite in the core keeps the VF 82 light and nimble as well for less fatigue through out the day while the Neox TL binding system gives you more leverage to get the most out of the energy you do put into the ski.
